Some time ago, I sent out a questionnaire asking for your opinion on what you liked about the amp, and what you thought should be changed perhaps you are one of those who filled one out. If, so thank you.
I learned a lot about you and your likes and dislikes in musical equipment. The most surprising thing I learned was that the great majority of the people responding said they liked it just as it was. They asked me not to change the tone, the reverb, the power level or anything else about it. They wanted it just as it was. So be it.
The Webb 614-E Steel Guitar Amp is made in Antioch, California, where it was always made. It is still owned by Jimmie D. Webb, and is once again built by the same people who made it back in 1974. No parts have been changed except those that have been improved by the electronics industry to give greater dependability or safety. THE TONE HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. THE REVERB HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. I still use a 15" JBL Speaker, and the Webb Amp is still quality-built by hand. All input and output jacks are metal (not plastic). I have added an effects loop (pre-amp out, power-amp in) and a line out for recording, by popular demand.
